Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning, executing, and delivering memory layout projects for advanced processes.

• Apply layout guidelines, process rules, and technical requirements for memory layouts.
• Perform floor-planning, hierarchy layout, and chip integration for memory blocks.
• Ensure physical verification and sign-off (LVS, DRC, ERC, antenna, EM) are completed to quality standards.
• Manage schedules, timelines, and layout floor-planning to meet project milestones.
• Lead technology reviews and document layout methodologies, flows, and guidelines.
• Coordinate and communicate with SoC, library, and verification teams.
• Mentor and train junior engineers; lead layout teams and manage projects.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for this position.

• Proven experience in memory layout design and physical verification (LVS, DRC, ERC, antenna, electro-migration).
• Proficiency with Cadence layout and schematic tools (Virtuoso, Virtuoso XL/Layout XL/EXL) and Mentor/Calibre verification tools; familiarity with Hercules is a plus.
• Strong layout knowledge for submicron advanced nodes (7nm, 5nm, 3nm, 2nm).
• Experience in floor-planning, hierarchy layout, and chip integration; ability to plan signal and power routing considering RC requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership, project management, and ability to deliver end-to-end layout deliverables on schedule.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with memory compilers and memory topology.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted layout automation and scripting (SKILL or similar).

Education Requirements
