Sr Manager / Deputy Director, IP Engineering
Role Summary
Lead or co-lead development of high-performance compute processor IP products for the IP Engineering team in Hsinchu. Provide technical leadership across product development, customer engagements, and cross-site initiatives.
Accountable for technical strategy, delivery quality, and team development across global, multi-site engineering organizations.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include technical leadership, project ownership, and cross-site collaboration.
- Drive execution of large-scale IP development projects with end-to-end ownership or co-ownership.
- Define technical strategy, review architectures and specifications, and ensure delivery excellence.
- Lead, mentor, and grow engineering teams; oversee succession planning and organizational effectiveness.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance in architecture, microarchitecture, RTL design, verification, flows, and signoff.
- Collaborate with global teams on technology roadmaps, project planning, customer engagements, and methodology development.
- Improve engineering processes, quality, and operational execution across sites.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and leadership experience. Preferred items listed separately.
- 15+ years experience in digital front-end design, RTL implementation, verification, validation, or computational IP development, with significant technical leadership responsibilities.
- Proven track record leading large-scale IP/SoC projects with accountability for quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Experience leading distributed, multi-site engineering teams and collaborating across global organizations.
- Strong expertise in microprocessor, memory, and system architecture.
- Hands-on experience in RTL design, micro-architecture, verification, formal methods, and functional coverage.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog, Verilog, UVM, C/C++, Python, Perl, and scripting for automation.
- Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools: simulators, synthesis, lint, formal, coverage, and automation tools.
- Strong program execution skills: resource planning, risk management, and delivery management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.

- Experience driving engineering methodologies, quality improvements, and organizational effectiveness.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline (specified by employer).
