Sr IC Layout Engineer

Role Summary

Perform IC layout and verification for RF integrated circuits across technologies such as SiGe, CMOS, SOI, GaAs and GaN. Work with design teams to prepare layouts for tapeout, perform schematic entry and verification, and support documentation and training.

Experience Level

Senior — professional level. Preferably 5+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on layout implementation, verification, and tapeout support for RFICs.

• Collaborate with design engineers to prepare IC layouts for tapeout across targeted technologies (SiGe, CMOS, SOI, GaAs, GaN).
• Perform cell- and chip-level schematic entry, IC layout, and verification (LVS, DRC, ERC) for RFICs.
• Floorplanning, routing, chip layout and verification; support and assist in tapeout activities.
• Create and maintain documentation and training materials for layout flows and tools.

Requirements

Required skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

• 5+ years of practical IC layout experience, preferably with RFICs.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and Mentor Graphics Calibre; experience with AWR or Keysight ADS.
• Experience using Linux and Windows environments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively; detail-oriented and self-driven.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
• Nice-to-have: scripting experience (Linux shell, Skill, AMPLE, Perl, Python).

Education Requirements
