Job Title
Sr EDA Engineer
Role Summary
Maintain, support, and enhance a production RTL-to-Gates implementation, static verification, and signoff flow. Provide hands-on support to global project teams and drive automation, reporting standardization, and QoR/power/runtime improvements.
Experience Level
Senior β 3β8 years experience in digital design, EDA/CAD, or implementation flow development.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include supporting production flows, assisting project teams, and improving flow automation and quality.
- Maintain and enhance RTL-to-Gates implementation and signoff flows.
- Provide hands-on support to global project teams (Europe, India, US) for flow adoption and execution.
- Develop, debug, and maintain flow infrastructure using industry-standard EDA tools (primarily Synopsys).
- Investigate and resolve user issues to ensure robust, scalable flow operation across concurrent projects.
- Implement automation enhancements and standardize reporting.
- Optimize QoR, power, and runtime across implementation stages.
- Support migration to a next-generation corporate implementation platform: port scripts, validate migrated flows, and assist user onboarding.
- Follow disciplined software engineering practices (version control, modularization, documentation) and participate in cross-site coordination.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 3β8 years experience in digital design, EDA/CAD, or implementation flow development.
- Practical experience with RTL-to-Gates implementation and signoff: synthesis, static timing analysis, power analysis, lint/CDC/RDC.
- Hands-on experience with Synopsys tools or equivalent EDA toolset.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Tcl, Python, Perl).
- Experience with flow integration, batch execution, and debugging methodologies.
- Constraint development and debugging experience (SDC creation/validation, timing constraints, clocking strategies).
- Understanding of low-power design methodologies (UPF/CPF) and their impact on implementation and signoff flows.
- Familiarity with hierarchical and large-scale SoC design methodologies and QoR trade-off analysis.
- Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and ability to work across global, multi-site teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with flow migration, custom reporting, and large-scale QoR/power/runtime optimization.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
