Sr. Director, Program Management - Data Center GPU Validation

Role Summary

Lead program management for system and platform validation of AMD's Data Center GPU products, driving execution from pre-silicon readiness through silicon bring-up, system integration, production qualification, and customer deployment.

Report to the Corporate VP of SoC/System Validation and partner with design, firmware, software, platform, manufacturing, and business teams to deliver complex products at scale. Role is based in Austin, TX with a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

Accountable for end-to-end program delivery and organizational leadership for Data Center GPU validation programs.

• Lead program planning and execution across pre-silicon validation, silicon bring-up, system integration, BKC delivery, production qualification, and customer deployment.
• Establish integrated schedules, milestones, dependencies, success criteria, and executive dashboards.
• Identify and mitigate critical-path risks; drive escalation and decision-making.
• Run program governance, operating rhythms, and readiness reviews across global engineering and validation teams.
• Ensure ownership and accountability for hardware, firmware, software, networking, system, and cluster deliverables.
• Align resources and priorities across concurrent programs and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Support customer engagements, high-priority escalations, and recovery plans.
• Build and develop a high-performing global program-management organization and improve operating models and execution methodologies.

Requirements

Must-have skills and constraints for the role.

• Proven program-management experience delivering complex SoC, server, GPU, platform, or cluster programs.
• Extensive experience in semiconductor, enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, or high-performance computing environments.
• Strong technical understanding of silicon, hardware, firmware, software, system, and cluster-level integration.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, globally distributed, cross-functional organizations and to manage Directors and senior managers.
• Experience with program planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, resource alignment, and executive governance.
• Exceptional executive communication, influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to create clarity and drive decisions in complex, ambiguous environments.
• Role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with AI/ML accelerators, Data Center GPUs, HPC systems, or large-scale computing infrastructure.
• Track record of improving execution methodologies and organizational scalability.
• Experience engaging with strategic customers and managing high-priority escalations.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline. An advanced degree is preferred. Equivalent practical experience may be considered where applicable.
