Sr Design Readiness Engineer

Role Summary

Lead design readiness for new DRAM products across design, validation, and manufacturing readiness activities. Work with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate product risks, drive silicon debug and root-cause analysis, and influence product release decisions.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include planning and executing readiness and validation activities, driving technical investigations, and improving readiness processes.

  • Lead design readiness activities: risk assessments, DFMEA development, validation planning, and readiness reviews for DRAM products.
  • Partner with design, validation, manufacturing, test, and product teams to define validation coverage and prioritize debug activities.
  • Drive root-cause investigations of silicon findings via data analysis, experiment planning, evidence review, and corrective-action development.
  • Translate design intent, validation results, silicon behavior, manufacturing constraints, and customer expectations into product readiness decisions.
  • Mentor engineers, lead technical workstreams, and improve technical practices and readiness processes across DRAM programs.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

  • Significant experience in semiconductor design, DRAM or memory technology, silicon validation, product engineering, device characterization, circuit debug, reliability, test development, or new product introduction.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex technical problems using silicon data, validation results, circuit behavior, failure analysis, and statistical methods.
  • Experience leading technical investigations, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional resolution efforts.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence technical decisions across engineering organizations.
  • Preferred: experience mentoring engineers, establishing engineering protocols, or improving product quality and test coverage.
  • Preferred: expertise in silicon debug, screen development, production test coverage, margin characterization, and quality improvement.
  • Preferred: familiarity with AI-enabled engineering tools and agentic AI assistants for analysis, documentation, or workflow automation.

Education Requirements

Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Applied Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field is listed; equivalent industry experience is explicitly accepted. Preferred qualifications mention MS or PhD in a relevant engineering or scientific field.
