Senior Application Engineer (Emulation & Prototyping)

Role Summary

Customer-facing engineer responsible for deploying and supporting Cadence emulation and prototyping solutions. Work with global application engineering and R&D teams to deliver technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and enable successful customer deployments. Role is based in the Katowice office with a hybrid work model and primarily supports customers in Israel.

Experience Level

Senior. The posting indicates 3–5 years of relevant industry experience; the role requires senior-level ownership of customer engagements.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Deploy and support emulation and prototyping solutions for customers.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues; provide timely debugging and support.
• Contribute to emulation and acceleration workflows, including debug and performance optimization.
• Support benchmarks, tool evaluations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) activities.
• Develop customer-specific solutions using Cadence tools in collaboration with senior engineers and team leads.
• Coordinate with local R&D in Poland and global Cadence teams; work across regions and time zones.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and constraints:

• Experience in digital design or verification.
• Strong RTL knowledge (SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL).
• Experience with simulation and debug workflows.
• Customer-facing experience and ability to collaborate across regions and time zones.
• Authorization to live and work in Poland (EU national or valid work authorization).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-have:

• FPGA development experience.
• Familiarity with UVM or modern verification methodologies.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Python, Tcl).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (BS/MS as listed in the posting).
