Role Summary

Join the Palm Bay, FL engineering team to design and deliver digital and mixed-signal circuit card assemblies for data acquisition and computing systems used in mission-critical applications. The role focuses on digital circuit design, component selection, simulation, and integration testing for high-speed and embedded systems.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical experience guidance: Bachelor's degree + 4 years; Master's/Graduate degree + 2 years; or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Key technical responsibilities include:

• Develop digital circuits for data acquisition and computing systems.
• Generate specifications and select components for high-speed digital designs.
• Perform simulations and analyses to support printed wiring board (PWB) layout and integration testing.
• Design mixed-signal circuits (A/D, D/A), processors, I/O communication, and programmable logic (FPGA, CPLD).
• Use schematic-capture and timing-analysis tools for circuit card designs.
• Execute hardware bring-up and debugging; operate signal generators, logic analyzers, and digital oscilloscopes.
• Work independently to produce digital CCA design solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and qualifications:

• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• Experience with high-speed memory and network interfaces and related protocols.
• Knowledge of high-complexity digital design techniques and devices.
• Proficiency in hardware debugging and using signal generators, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Experience with FPGA/CPLD and mixed-signal integration.
• Effective teamwork and leadership skills in an engineering environment.

Education Requirements

Required education/experience options: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; Graduate degree with 2 years of relevant experience; or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
