SOV Verification Engineer
ArmJob Title
SOV Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Work on IP, subsystem and SoC verification for Arm-based SoCs. The role owns verification strategy, development of reusable SystemVerilog/UVM test environments, and driving coverage closure across CPU, interconnect, memory and power domains.
Experience Level
Mid-level - 2β12 years of relevant verification experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver verification solutions from planning through coverage closure and debug.
- Develop and execute verification strategies for IP, subsystem and SoC designs.
- Architect, implement and maintain reusable SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments and components.
- Verify CPU, PCIe, security, DDR, cache coherency and CHI interconnects, and perform SoC scenario and performance verification.
- Create verification plans, tests, and coverage-closure strategies covering functional, code, toggle and assertion metrics.
- Develop embedded tests in C/C++ and ARM assembly; perform RTL, testbench and silicon debug.
- Perform power-aware verification using UPF and validate complex power architectures.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Design, Modeling, Performance, Validation, FPGA and Software teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and hands-on experience.
- 2β12 years of IP, subsystem or SoC verification experience.
- Strong Verilog/SystemVerilog skills and proven experience building SV/UVM verification environments.
- Knowledge of SoC integration, memory hierarchy, coherency protocols, interconnects and interrupt architecture.
- Experience writing embedded tests in C/C++ and ARM assembly.
- Experience with power-aware verification (UPF) and coverage-closure practices (functional, code, toggle, assertion).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across RTL, testbench and silicon issues.
- Automation and scripting experience (Python, Perl, Tcl, Shell).
- Exposure to full verification lifecycle: requirements analysis, planning, testbench and test development, coverage closure and documentation.
- Nice-to-have: formal verification, FPGA prototyping, performance verification, deep CHI/cache-coherency expertise.
