SOI Designer

Role Summary

Design RF integrated circuits for SOI and RF CMOS processes. Work within the RF/analog design team to deliver circuit designs, device models, simulation results, verification, and layout support for wireless transceiver components.

Experience Level

Senior-level — requires over 7 years of relevant RF IC design experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Design and optimize RF ICs using SOI and RF CMOS processes.
• Develop and validate RF device models and analog/RF circuit designs.
• Perform EM simulations (HFSS, Clarity, EMX) and apply results to design trade-offs.
• Lead AMS (analog and mixed-signal) verification and simulation flows.
• Support layout implementation and verification using Cadence flows (LVS, DRC, xRC).
• Collaborate with process, test, and system teams to ensure manufacturability and system performance.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• 7+ years of RF IC design experience.
• Practical experience with RF CMOS and SOI process technologies.
• Deep understanding of analog and RF circuits and cellular wireless communication systems.
• Experience with EM simulation tools such as HFSS, Clarity, or EMX.
• Experience with AMS verification methodologies.
• Layout experience in Cadence including LVS, DRC, and xRC.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with RF device physics and advanced device modeling.

Education Requirements

M.S. in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) required; Ph.D. preferred.
