Software Verification Engineer
Role Summary
The Software Verification Engineer will design and operate verification infrastructure and test suites to validate Baya's software platforms and IP performance. The role works with architects and engineering teams to define verification plans, execute tests, diagnose issues, and drive verification to sign-off for releases.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting requests 4+ years of experience in software or hardware verification in semiconductor, CAD, or automotive domains.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning, executing, and owning verification activities for software platforms and related IP.
- Own functional and performance verification for software platforms and related IP.
- Define verification infrastructure, processes, and verification convergence plans.
- Develop and execute software test plans and manage regression suites.
- Collaborate with architects to define and verify performance metrics.
- Triage, debug, and resolve verification failures; guide engineers toward closure.
- Monitor quality metrics and sign off verification for release milestones.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; listed nice-to-have items are separated.
- 4+ years of SW or HW verification experience in semiconductor, CAD, or automotive industries.
- Proficiency in Python and C++.
- Practical understanding of software systems design and modeling.
- Knowledge of computer architecture, networking concepts, and System/SoC architecture.
- Experience with modern development practices: Git and CI workflows.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Nice-to-have: SystemC experience and familiarity with Arm CHI and AXI protocols.
- Nice-to-have: experience defining verification infrastructure, managing regressions, and leading verification closure.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
