Software Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for designing and operating verification infrastructure and test sequences to validate Baya Systems' software platforms, covering functional and performance verification. Works with architects and engineering teams to define metrics, drive verification closure, and ensure releases meet quality targets.

Mid-level — typically requires 4+ years of software or hardware verification experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Own functional and performance verification of Baya's software platforms.
- Define verification infrastructure, processes, and convergence plans.
- Develop and execute software test plans and monitor quality metrics.
- Collaborate with architects to define and validate performance metrics.
- Manage regressions; triage, debug, and track issues to closure.
- Guide engineers toward verification closure and sign-off for release milestones.
- Maintain and improve automation and CI-based verification workflows.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 4+ years of experience in software or hardware verification within semiconductor, EDA/CAD, or automotive domains.
- Proficiency in Python and C++.
- Understanding of software system design and modeling, System/SoC architecture, computer architecture, and networking concepts.
- Experience with modern development practices: Git, CI, and related tooling.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with SystemC.
- Familiarity with Arm CHI and AXI protocols.
- Experience defining and verifying performance metrics for IP.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering — or equivalent practical experience.
