Software Student for x86 Validation Tools
Role Summary
Work on Intel's VIACOE team to develop and maintain tools used for x86 CPU validation. The role focuses on building and improving software used to validate next-generation Intel CPUs.
This is an on-site position based in Haifa, Israel, collaborating with architecture, design, validation, BIOS, OS, and compiler teams.
Experience Level
Entry-level (student). Suitable for current university students; no prior full-time professional experience required.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include implementing validation tools, cross-team collaboration, and learning CPU and system internals.
- Implement and maintain validation and test tools for x86 CPU validation.
- Develop and debug code in C/C++, Python, and assembly as required.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, validation engineers, BIOS, OS, and compiler teams to define and execute validation scenarios.
- Use and develop generative-AI techniques to support validation workflows.
- Participate in large-scale software development and learn CPU architecture and system internals.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and workplace expectations.
- Practical experience programming in C/C++.
- Practical experience programming in Python.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Haifa and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with assembly language is a plus.
- Knowledge of x86 architecture is advantageous.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. or M.Sc. student in Computer Science or Software Engineering with at least three semesters remaining until graduation. Student status and remaining semesters are required.
