Job Title

Software QA Test and Tools Developer – Automotive Platform

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's Automotive Platform SWQA team to design and implement tests and tooling that validate safety-critical software for intelligent vehicles. The role focuses on system-level validation, test automation, and developing frameworks for Linux and QNX-based automotive systems.

Experience Level

Mid-level — 5+ years of relevant automation engineering or software development experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include test design, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure product reliability and security.

  • Design, execute, and automate comprehensive test cases and scenarios for automotive platforms; identify, track, and drive defects to closure.
  • Review product requirements and technical designs to improve testability and security early in development.
  • Collaborate with project management, hardware, and software teams to analyze bugs and publish data-driven reports.
  • Architect and maintain a distributed automation framework able to run high-concurrency workloads across a large automation farm.
  • Develop and extend test libraries and automation solutions to increase coverage and accelerate development cycles.
  • Manage the full automation lifecycle: analyze failures, log defects, and lead bug-scrub cycles to support high-quality releases.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in automation engineering or software development.
  • Strong systems-level programming in Python or C++ with emphasis on clean, maintainable, testable code.
  • Solid foundation in QNX or Linux-based operating systems, including system concepts and boot sequences.
  • Practical experience in system SW validation (Bootloaders, BSP, ARM Trusted Firmware, Trusted OS, Secure Boot protocols).
  • Experience architecting or operating distributed test automation infrastructure supporting many concurrent systems.
  • Familiarity with AI-native development tools and LLM APIs to improve engineering velocity and evaluation frameworks.
  • Nice-to-have: history of identifying vulnerabilities in low-level firmware or secure-boot implementations.
  • Nice-to-have: experience deploying prompt-engineering or LLM-based agents within production CI/CD pipelines.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electronics & Electrical Engineering is specified.
