Applications Engineer Intern

Role Summary

Work with TI application engineering teams to support customer design challenges for analog and mixed-signal products. The role includes hands-on lab work, designing and testing application circuits for DC-DC converters, and delivering development solutions that support products and customers.

This is an internship / student-worker role based in Freising, Germany; Texas Instruments will not sponsor visas for this position.

Responsibilities

Primary tasks performed in this role include lab work, circuit design, testing and data analysis.

  • Schematic and PCB design of analog circuits
  • Assemble, calibrate and test electronic circuits and measurement setups
  • Design, set up and debug test circuits for DC-DC converters
  • Perform measurements to characterize DC-DC converters to internal standards
  • Analyze circuit designs using simulation tools and process measured data
  • Develop software for automated test setups
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to deliver solutions

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of analog circuits (must)
  • Authorized to work in Germany; no visa sponsorship for this position (must)
  • Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes; soldering and debugging skills (preferred)
  • Experience with measurement calibration, test automation, and data review (preferred)
  • Familiarity with DC-DC converters and analog simulation tools (preferred)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills (preferred)
  • Ability to work in teams, manage time effectively, take initiative and deliver results (preferred)

Education Requirements
