Role Summary

Join the Host Management Firmware QA team to design and execute tests for NIC firmware and host management features. The role focuses on systems and networking test coverage, automation, and collaboration with hardware and software teams to ensure product quality.

Responsibilities

Deliver test plans, automation, and reporting across functional, regression, performance, and security scopes.

• Design, develop and execute manual and automated tests.
• Learn new networking standards, features and protocols to expand QA coverage.
• Review product requirements and technical designs; provide test and quality feedback.
• Collaborate with project management, hardware and software engineers; analyze and document bugs.
• Execute regression, performance, functional and security testing; produce test summaries and progress reports.
• Develop or improve tools, applications, and processes to increase test efficiency.
• Define and build test topologies and setups for appropriate product coverage.

Requirements

Core qualifications and skills required for the role.

• Practical experience in software testing (manual and/or automated) and systems testing.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and system-level experience.
• Programming skills and experience with test automation in a Linux environment.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Self-management, initiative, good analytical skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

• Proven experience as a Software QA Engineer.
• Python programming experience.
• Familiarity with network protocols and Host Management / BMC interfaces and standards.
• Experience with cryptography and security-related networking standards.

Education Requirements

B.A. / B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical software engineering experience.
