Role Summary
Lead program management for software during new product introductions (NPI) for NVIDIA GPU products. Coordinate software development and QA with hardware, marketing, and operations to achieve time-to-market targets and resolve issues that impede program success.
Work includes hardware allocation and budgeting, representing Software at go-to-market meetings, building clear project plans, and understanding the software stack to align engineering requirements.
Experience Level
Mid-level; typically requires 3+ years in a similar or related role.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities for this role include program-level coordination, risk mitigation, and cross-functional representation.
- Negotiate system, board, and chip requirements for software development and QA teams.
- Drive hardware allocation, infrastructure provisioning, budgeting, and priority decisions.
- Represent the Software organization at go-to-market and program leadership meetings.
- Develop, present, and maintain a clear project plan and schedule overview.
- Learn the software stack to identify team needs and anticipate integration issues.
- Lead corrective actions, on-the-spot adjustments, and post-mortem analysis to improve NPI and software productivity.
Requirements
Must-have technical and program skills; items listed as "plus" are desirable.
- Hands-on experience with the software development lifecycle, specifically for device drivers and applications.
- Experience with chip bring-up and early hardware/software integration.
- Strong communication and technical presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Thorough knowledge of software engineering and lifecycle principles.
- Experience with productivity tools and process automation; data analysis experience (Excel, Tableau) is a plus.
- Familiarity with operating systems, graphics principles, AI datacenter concepts, and relevant standards is a plus.
- Experience using AI to boost productivity and solve problems is a plus.
- PM certification or formal training is a plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience. The posting explicitly allows equivalent experience in lieu of the listed degrees. PM certification/training is noted as a plus.
