Job Title

Software Product Owner

Role Summary

Drive the roadmap, prioritisation, and delivery of SDKs, evaluation kits (EVKs), developer tools, and supporting software. The role connects customers, Applications, Product Management, and Software Engineering to ensure tools solve real customer problems and are released with high quality.

Position is based in Rijswijk (Netherlands); the team requires on-site presence at least three days per week.

Experience Level

Mid-level (Level - Mid-Career). Specific years of experience are not stated; prior product ownership or technical project management experience is expected.

Responsibilities

Own product direction and delivery for developer-facing tooling; coordinate releases and stakeholder alignment.

  • Own roadmap, backlog, and prioritisation for SDKs and software tooling.
  • Define developer-facing tool direction based on customer needs and business objectives.
  • Balance new features, bug fixes, technical debt, and release commitments.
  • Drive alignment between Applications, Product, Management, and Engineering teams.
  • Gather, analyse, and prioritise feedback from customers, FAEs, and internal users; translate into development plans.
  • Coordinate software releases across multiple teams; oversee SDK deployment, versioning, distribution, and documentation.
  • Monitor release quality, regression issues, and delivery performance; drive continuous improvements.
  • Track operational metrics (ticket volume, resolution times, release frequency, regression rates, throughput) and remove bottlenecks.
  • Create structure and clarity in ambiguous environments and unblock teams where necessary.

Requirements

Required skills and experience for the role, followed by common nice-to-haves.

  • Experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Technical Project Manager, or similar role.
  • Ability to read and understand C/C++ and Python code.
  • Experience working closely with software engineering teams and using Git.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Proven ability to gather and prioritise customer requirements and make trade-offs under resource constraints.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication skills, ownership mindset, and attention to quality.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving and ambiguous environments.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in semiconductor, embedded systems, high-tech, or design-house environments.
  • Background with SDKs, developer tools, toolchains, embedded or low-level software environments.
  • Experience with SDK release management and package distribution platforms (e.g., PyPI).
  • Experience improving software documentation and developer experience.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
