Software Networking Engineer
Role Summary
Join the networking verification team to build tests, tools, and automation that validate networking and transport features on NVIDIA Ethernet adapters and DPUs. You will work with software, firmware, and architecture teams to deliver reliable, high-performance networking for modern data centers.
Experience Level
Entry-level. 0β2 years of hands-on software development experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing and executing verification for connection-oriented networking flows and maintaining test infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and maintain test and automation infrastructure in Python and C.
- Develop and execute functional, regression, stress, and performance tests for connection-oriented flows (loss, reordering, failover, scale).
- Define verification plans, review specifications, and identify corner cases and negative flows with design, driver, and firmware teams.
- Investigate failures by analyzing logs, traces, and counters from host, NIC, and DPU to debug cross-layer issues.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 0β2 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C.
- Solid understanding of operating systems and low-level software.
- Proven ability to debug complex, multi-component systems using logs, traces, and debugging tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience leveraging AI/ML tools to improve development, debugging, or verification efficiency.
- Knowledge of networking protocols.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Computer Science or Computer/Software Engineering.
