Job Title

Software ML Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and architect software components across the machine-learning stack to enable efficient ML execution on next-generation accelerator designs. Work areas include ML compilation, framework software, kernel and user-space driver stacks, real-time embedded software, test automation, and performance evaluation.

Collaborate with ML hardware teams, lead larger work packages, and mentor junior engineers. Salary range: 667,300 kr - 902,800 kr per year.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop and architect features across ML compilation, framework software, and runtime stacks.
  • Develop kernel and user-space driver components and real-time embedded software where required.
  • Create and maintain test automation and performance-evaluation infrastructure.
  • Lead cross-team work packages, manage milestones and dependencies, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with ML hardware engineers to determine optimal system partitioning.
  • Work within agile processes and contribute to continuous integration and test-driven development practices.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Strong programming skills in C, C++ and Python.
  • Experience delivering cross-team projects with defined milestones and dependencies.
  • Experience with source control workflows and tools (Git, Gerrit, Repo).
  • Familiarity with agile software development, continuous integration and test-driven development.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in diverse teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with machine-learning applications and ML frameworks.
  • Experience in compiler development.
  • Open-source software development experience.
  • Awareness of hardware architecture principles.
