Role Summary

Contribute to the development and testing of software for programmable logic devices. Work with engineering teams on bug fixes, feature enhancements, and new product development while gaining hands-on experience in a hardware-oriented software environment.

Experience Level

Internship / Entry-level (student role). Suitable for current undergraduate or graduate students; early-career candidates with limited professional experience.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities for the role include:

• Develop, test, and maintain code for software components used with programmable logic devices.
• Fix bugs, implement feature enhancements, and support new product development.
• Participate in code reviews and follow quality-assurance practices.
• Use version control and debugging tools; write clear documentation for code and tests.
• Research and evaluate technologies to improve performance and functionality.
• Prepare and present technical findings to the team.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and abilities:

• Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and data structures.
• Proficiency in at least one language such as C++, Python, or Java.
• Familiarity with development tools (version control like Git, debuggers).
• Good problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Nice-to-have:

• Prior experience with Verilog, VHDL, or FPGA development.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
