Software/Firmware Engineering - Intern
Role Summary
Work on firmware and embedded software for Marvell's coherent optical communications products targeting data-center interconnect, long-haul and metro markets. The role supports firmware implementation, Linux customization, and hardware bring-up for high-speed optical communications systems.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship (no specific years of experience required). Part-time role located in Córdoba, Argentina.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Customize and maintain Linux for embedded systems.
- Implement firmware to control FPGA and microcontroller-based hardware designs.
- Support hardware bring-up, characterization and verification activities.
- Interpret hardware designs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug and validate systems.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and constraints:
- Experience implementing firmware for FPGA and microcontroller devices.
- Knowledge of embedded operating systems, including Linux and real-time OS concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret hardware documentation and assist in hardware debugging.
- Available to work part-time onsite in Córdoba, Argentina.
- Interview integrity: use of AI tools (e.g., real-time answer generators or automated note-taking bots) during interviews is prohibited.
- May require eligibility to access export-controlled technology; employment may be subject to export license review.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
