Software Engineering Intern (SWR)

Role Summary

Internship within Qorvo's Technology Enablement, Physical Verification team in Global Operations. The intern will work with mentors on design enablement applications, using commercial EDA physical verification tools and developing automation and verification code.

Compensation: $31/hr - $42/hr (subject to change by location).

Experience Level

Internship / Entry-level. Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities for the internship assignment include:

• Develop physical verification decks and unit cells for design rules.
• Create automated QA regression flows for DRC decks.
• Automate enablement flows and related tooling.
• Provide technical support to internal customers and resolve issues.
• Work with mentors to deliver documented results and presentations.

Requirements

Core technical skills and attributes expected for the role.

• Knowledge of physical design flows and IC manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming such as TCL and Python.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in teams.
• Preferred: experience writing unit tests and exposure to AI applications.
• Note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Education Requirements

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program, specifically in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering (Qorvo lists pursuit of a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering).
