Role Summary

Develop and maintain Java-based software tools used to program and configure NXP processors, working within a globally distributed team that manages a portfolio of embedded tooling products.

The role focuses on implementing features, integrating with embedded toolchains, improving developer workflows, and following security and quality processes for automotive software tools.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically 3+ years of relevant software development experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and supporting tooling components and collaborating across teams to deliver complex software products.

• Develop and maintain Java applications and related tooling components.
• Implement automation and scripting to support development, build, and testing workflows.
• Integrate software with embedded toolchains and support C/embedded interactions when required.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and cross-team technical coordination.
• Follow security, quality, and compliance processes; support audits as needed.
• Document work and present technical results to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with a global team across distributed development processes.
