Software Engineer Intern – C++

Role Summary

Join an international Agile Scrum team in Katowice working on Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software used across industries. This is an 11-month, full-time internship within the Strategic Student Program focused on hands-on feature development, testing, and collaboration with experienced engineers.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Intended for current university students; full-time availability for the internship duration is required.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include contributing to product development and quality assurance as part of a Scrum team.

  • Develop and maintain C++ code for EDA software.
  • Support implementation of new features and enhancements with emphasis on software quality.
  • Participate in testing activities, including Python-based test development and automation.
  • Take part in design discussions, code reviews, and technical problem solving.
  • Collaborate with international team members across Europe and the United States.
  • Learn from mentors and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Key requirements and qualifications for successful candidates.

  • Must-have: Foundational software development experience; familiarity with C++ is a strong advantage.
  • Must-have: Basic knowledge of Python or interest in test automation.
  • Must-have: Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal).
  • Must-have: Legal authorization to work in Poland without sponsorship for the internship period.
  • Must-have: Availability to work full-time for the internship duration (11 months).
  • Nice-to-have: Prior exposure to Agile/Scrum teams, automated testing, or EDA-related tooling.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with code review practices and collaborative version-control workflows.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in a university degree program (bachelor's or equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related technical field; student status is required for participation in the internship.
