Job Title

Software Engineer (Integrity 3D-IC Infra)

Role Summary

Develop software infrastructure and early-stage physical-design solutions for 3D-IC applications, with primary focus on pre-place-and-route methodology. Collaborate with customers and foundry partners to translate design and advanced-node requirements into scalable software.

Experience Level

Mid-level. No explicit years-of-experience stated in the posting.

Responsibilities

The role centers on designing and delivering early-stage physical-design flows and associated software infrastructure.

  • Design and implement early-stage physical design (pre-PnR) flows and related tooling.
  • Collect and analyze customer requirements and work with foundry partners to define technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain software components and infrastructure (primarily Java-based) for large-scale EDA workflows.
  • Debug and maintain large legacy codebases; profile and optimize software performance and capacity.
  • Define technical trade-offs, assess risks, and support cross-team integration and validation.
  • Contribute to software architecture for large-scale data and design automation infrastructure.

Requirements

Key technical and professional requirements. "Must-have" items are listed first; additional desirable skills follow.

  • Must-have: Strong Java development skills (JDK 11–25).
  • Must-have: Tcl scripting and Linux shell scripting; comfortable in UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Must-have: Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Must-have: Proven ability to debug large codebases and work independently in a distributed/remote-capable model.
  • Must-have: Strong analytical, organizational, and English communication skills; ability to interact professionally across teams.
  • Nice-to-have: C++ familiarity (minor role), experience with EDA/CAD tools and handling large datasets.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with early-stage physical-design flows (pre-place-and-route) and software performance/capacity optimization.
  • Nice-to-have: Exposure to forward-deployed AI in engineering workflows.

Education Requirements

Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. The posting allows related technical fields; equivalent practical experience is not explicitly stated.
