Role Summary

Join the Quantus Insight R&D team (Digital & Signoff Group) to develop and maintain a modern parasitic extraction platform. This role combines desktop Qt GUI and core feature development with automated test engineering to preserve code stability and validate new workflows, including AI-driven features.

You will work with senior engineers to implement features, build automated test suites, troubleshoot Linux desktop issues, and expand regression coverage for high-scale data flows.

Experience Level

Entry-level — 1–3 years of professional software engineering or test automation experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include feature development, verification, and test automation for a desktop R&D product.

• Implement and update Qt Widgets UI components and make functional/layout changes using the Qt framework.
• Develop core feature code in C++ and perform Linux desktop debugging (GDB) for UI and performance issues.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites using C++ and Python to validate application and backend behavior.
• Create and execute verification scripts for new workflows, including targeted tests for AI/Agentic features.
• Perform regression testing, reproduce and document bugs, and help expand R&D test coverage for large-scale data scenarios.
• Collaborate with senior engineering staff to integrate tests into the development lifecycle and maintain codebase stability.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience for the role; preferences listed separately.

• Proven experience with modern C++ (C++17 or newer) and the STL.
• Proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting.
• Experience building and debugging in Linux development environments; familiarity with GDB.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies, regression testing, and R&D QA practices.
• 1–3 years of professional software engineering or test automation experience, preferably including desktop application UI exposure.
• Nice-to-have: prior exposure to the Qt framework or Qt Test libraries.
• Nice-to-have: basic awareness of EDA concepts (parasitic extraction, physical verification) and interest in AI/LLM workflows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
