Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include delivering reliable software components and participating in the software development lifecycle within a semiconductor environment.
- Design, develop, debug, test, and maintain software components for semiconductor products, platforms, tools, or embedded systems.
- Estimate work, deliver assigned features, and meet development schedules.
- Participate in code reviews, unit/integration testing, defect resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with hardware engineering, validation, quality, product management, and operations to ensure integrated delivery.
- Participate in Agile activities (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives) and track progress.
- Support release readiness, documentation, and software lifecycle activities.
- Communicate technical status and escalate cross-functional or architectural issues when needed.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and skills; preferred items listed where applicable.
- Experience in software development within semiconductor, embedded software, firmware, platform software, or related engineering environments.
- Working knowledge of programming fundamentals, software design, debugging, and testing practices.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle processes and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with version control, build systems, defect tracking, CI/CD workflows, and engineering software tools.
- Nice-to-have: experience with validation support, integration activities, or hardware-software interaction.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
