Job Title

Software Engineer, Hardware Tools and Methodology - New College Grad 2026

Role Summary

Develop and maintain tools and automation for RTL generation and verification within the NVIDIA Clocks team. The role focuses on algorithms, C++ implementation, and integrating RTL flows to support multiple product teams.

Experience Level

Entry-level / New college graduate.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and supporting automation and tool flows for RTL delivery.

  • Architect, design, develop, and maintain tools for RTL generation.
  • Build and automate workflows to support cross-functional deliverables.
  • Improve C++ algorithms for automated connectivity, auto logic insertion, and post-processing of Verilog RTL.
  • Enhance quality and robustness of existing tools and flows.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate tools into product flows.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Proficient in C++ coding.
  • Good understanding of ASIC design and Verilog RTL.
  • Ability to work across multi-functional teams and communicate technical tradeoffs.
  • Interest in algorithms and RTL design.

Nice-to-have:

  • Prior RTL design, verification, and synthesis experience (Verilog).
  • Experience with scripting languages and build tools such as Perl, Python, and Make.
  • Knowledge of clocks/resets design and verification.

Education Requirements

Master's degree or higher in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
