Graduate ASIC Software Engineer

Role Summary

The Graduate ASIC Software Engineer will design, develop, test and deploy software that implements internal packages related to electrical engineering and ASIC development. The role supports software used to control test equipment and other hardware used in ASIC validation and production.

Works within a software engineering team following company coding standards and release processes to deliver small-feature designs and participate in code reviews.

Experience Level

Entry-level (graduate). No specific years of prior professional experience required; a university degree or equivalent practical experience is expected (see Education Requirements).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include development, integration and test of software for ASIC-related workflows and automated test equipment.

  • Develop software in selected languages following coding standards and release processes.
  • Develop software to control external hardware for automated test equipment and related development.
  • Coordinate and use software engineering tools: configuration management, build processes and debuggers.
  • Create and implement designs for small sets of new functionality within projects.
  • Create and execute tests; support deployment and maintenance of internal software packages.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
