Role Summary

Join Qorvo’s R&D software team in Barcelona to develop and maintain internal software tools that improve design methodologies, automate processes, and accelerate result visualization. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver maintainable, testable software used by internal customers.

Experience Level

Professional. Typical expectation: about 2+ years of professional software development experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities cover the software development lifecycle for internal tools and support.

• Design and implement software to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Write efficient, testable code; perform unit testing and debugging.
• Conduct testing and evaluation to ensure software quality.
• Deploy software tools, establish processes and metrics.
• Provide support and resolve issues for internal users.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and preferred additional experiences.

• Must-have: Proficient in Python and experience with IDEs (e.g., PyCharm).
• Must-have: Solid object-oriented design and design patterns; strong algorithms and data structures knowledge.
• Must-have: Experience across the full software development lifecycle, Git version control, and Agile/SCRUM processes.
• Must-have: Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; ability to produce maintainable code.
• Must-have: Professional-level English communication and ability to work onsite in Barcelona.
• Nice-to-have: Docker/containerization, database familiarity (MySQL/Oracle), shell/batch scripting, QT or similar UI development.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with unit testing frameworks, AI coding assistants, or background in electromagnetics/physics.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, with 2+ years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of advanced education and experience. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Spain.
