Role Summary

Join the Sort Test Technology Development (STTD) team to design, build, and operate cloud-native applications and the underlying infrastructure that support semiconductor manufacturing and test operations. This hybrid role combines full‑stack software development with infrastructure and platform ownership across cloud and on‑premises environments.

Responsibilities include application architecture and development, deployment and management of servers/VMs and Kubernetes clusters, automation of CI/CD and infrastructure provisioning, and operational support with emphasis on security, reliability, and documentation.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this role include software development, infrastructure management, automation, and operational support.

  • Design, develop, test, and debug cloud-native applications, platform services, APIs, microservices, data services, and job orchestration components.
  • Deploy and manage hybrid cloud and on‑premises infrastructure, including servers, virtual machines, virtualization platforms, and Kubernetes clusters.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation for build/deploy/configuration, and infrastructure-as-code provisioning.
  • Manage OS lifecycle operations such as patching, validation, and change management.
  • Provide operational support: monitoring, logging, incident response, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting documentation.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications and additional preferred skills.

Must-have

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Top Secret (TS) security clearance and SCI access.
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience, including designing, testing, and debugging production software.
  • Proficiency with one or more modern programming languages (examples: C#/.NET, Java, C++, Go, Python).

Nice-to-have

  • Active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Experience with Azure and/or on‑premises infrastructure (servers/VMs, virtualization, containers).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) in hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and infrastructure-as-code practices (examples: GitHub, Ansible).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field is stated as the standard expectation; postgraduate degrees are listed as preferred.
