Job Title

Software Engineer, Agentic Products

Role Summary

Build agentic workflows, reasoning graphs, and integrations that enable users to go from idea to manufacturable hardware within the Flux platform. The role sits at the intersection of web engineering and AI systems design and works across the Flux web app and backend to embed intelligence into ECAD workflows.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical candidate has 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 1 year building generative-AI or agentic systems.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities focus on designing, implementing, and operating agentic capabilities and their integration with user-facing products.

  • Design and implement agentic reasoning capabilities in TypeScript using LangGraph or equivalent orchestration frameworks.
  • Integrate AI behaviors into the Flux web app (React/Redux) and the chat UI.
  • Instrument telemetry and logging for runtime health, performance, and cost tracking.
  • Collaborate with product and electrical engineers to embed intelligence in ECAD workflows.
  • Build and analyze evaluation pipelines and translate results into engineering decisions.
  • Define and propagate agentic patterns, conventions, and best practices across the engineering organization.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • 5+ years of software-engineering experience; at least 1 year developing generative-AI or agentic systems.
  • Strong command of TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent orchestration frameworks.
  • Proven experience building asynchronous, distributed systems in production.
  • Experience integrating LLM-based systems into complex user-facing web products.
  • Comfortable communicating in an async, distributed environment; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience at startups or in 0β†’1 product environments.

Preferred (nice-to-have):

  • Experience with retrieval systems, evaluation pipelines, or agent benchmarking.
  • Contributions to open-source AI or developer tools projects.
  • Familiarity with hardware design or ECAD concepts.
  • Background in applied ML, data-driven experimentation, or NLP.
  • Experience building highly available distributed systems at scale.

Flux is an equal opportunity employer.
