Software Engineer
Role Summary
Develop system-level software and performance modeling for Baya Systems' chiplet and SoC fabric IP. Work on software optimization, verification, and integration with hardware teams to enable high-performance multi-die and single-die systems.

Mid-level. The posting requests at least 2+ years of hands-on experience in the semiconductor or CAD industry.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include software development, modeling, and verification for IP and system software.
- Develop system software in Python and C++.
- Design and implement core software optimization algorithms and platforms.
- Build performance models for IP blocks and system components.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to expose and implement configuration knobs for IPs.
- Create and execute verification test plans to ensure high-quality software releases.
Requirements
Key technical and professional requirements.
- Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience in the semiconductor or electronic design automation (EDA/CAD) industry.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills in Python and C++.
- Expert knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience building concurrent system models.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, memory hierarchies, and networking concepts.
- Experience with software systems design and modeling.
- Familiarity with modern development practices: Git, continuous integration (CI); experience with UI tooling is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (BS/MS) β specified in the posting.
