Role Summary

Design, develop, test, and integrate software components for semiconductor-based products, including microcontrollers and SoC platforms. Collaborate with hardware and software teams, customers, and partners to deliver application-ready solutions for consumer, industrial, and automotive markets.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include system-level software development, integration, support, and documentation.

• Design, develop, test, and document embedded software, middleware, and operating-system level components.
• Integrate microcontrollers, processors, and development platforms into customer applications.
• Optimize software for performance and low power consumption; perform feasibility and benchmark studies.
• Port and evaluate open-source and commercial frameworks and propose performance optimizations.
• Provide hardware and software technical support and system-level customer support.
• Create application notes, design documentation, specifications, procedures, and training materials.
• Troubleshoot system design issues and respond to technical questions from partners and customers.
• Business travel as required: up to 10% domestic and 5% international.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

• Experience developing, debugging, and testing embedded software solutions.
• Proficiency in C; experience with Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Embedded Linux and cross-compilation toolchains.
• Knowledge of microprocessor system design and computer architecture.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar issue-tracking tools.
• Ability to perform benchmarking, performance analysis, and system optimization.
• Experience creating technical documentation and application notes.

Education Requirements

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or foreign equivalent. The position expects completion of a graduate-level course, research project, internship, or thesis involving embedded software development, C/Python/Bash programming, Embedded Linux, cross-compilation, microprocessor/system design, and computer architecture, or equivalent practical experience.
