Job Title

Software Engineer

Role Summary

Develop CAD tools that configure, assemble and export interconnect IP collaterals for SoC integration. Work at the boundary of software and hardware engineering to deliver tools that generate Verilog, SystemC, verification environments and documentation used by SoC integration teams.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Role is open to beginning and experienced engineers; equivalent practical experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Deliver and maintain software tools used by hardware designers; ensure quality and timely releases.

  • Gather requirements and design new features for IP assembly, configuration and collateral generation (e.g., Verilog, SystemC, Excel outputs, verification environments).
  • Implement and maintain GUIs and tool workflows.
  • Participate in release planning and deliver high-quality releases with regression testing.
  • Monitor code quality, run regressions and fix issues revealed by testing.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware designers and cross-functional teams during design and integration.

Requirements

Required technical skills and practical experience; equivalent experience accepted.

  • Must-have: Proficiency in Python (object-oriented), C++, Linux and Git.
  • Must-have: Good knowledge of object-oriented design and software design best practices; experience producing production-quality software and regression-tested releases.
  • Must-have: Experience working on software tools or automation used in design flows.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Qt for GUIs.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in profiling, performance optimization and code tuning.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity or strong interest in hardware technologies (block diagrams, RTL, Verilog, VHDL, SystemC) and SoC integration.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field (the posting references both Bachelor's and Master's); equivalent practical experience will be considered.
