Role Summary

The Software Engineer is responsible for defining, architecting, implementing and validating software components (OS, applications, embedded firmware) for SoC products prior to silicon tape-out, and for porting and validating that software on hardware reference and development boards. The role works with hardware, firmware and system teams to ensure the product meets market KPIs and system-level targets.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Define and architect software elements across OS, applications and embedded firmware to meet product requirements.
• Implement and validate software using FPGA or emulation platforms prior to silicon tape-out.
• Port software to hardware reference and development boards and perform sub-system and system-level validation.
• Map target market KPIs to system-level solutions and verify compliance with product targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, validation) to resolve system issues and complete bring-up activities.

• Must-have: Experience with embedded software, operating systems and firmware development for SoC or embedded systems.
• Must-have: Experience validating software on FPGA or emulation platforms and performing software bring-up on hardware reference/development boards.
• Must-have: Experience with subsystem and system-level validation and with translating market KPIs into system requirements.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with silicon tape-out flow, performance profiling and cross-functional system integration.
• Nice-to-have: Strong debugging, scripting and documentation skills for cross-team communication.
