Role Summary

Join the R&D team developing automatic test pattern generation (ATPG) tools within the Tessent product line. The role focuses on designing and implementing high-quality C++ software on Linux to deliver competitive, maintainable logic-test solutions integrated into production EDA products.

Responsibilities

Primary engineering responsibilities and deliverables.

• Design and implement features for ATPG and logic-test tools using C++.
• Write technical specifications, produce schedule estimates, and plan implementations.
• Develop, test (unit/integration), and validate software on Linux platforms.
• Architect maintainable code, apply design patterns, and follow software best practices.
• Integrate new solutions into existing products and support product releases.
• Collaborate with team members, participate in design reviews, and communicate progress clearly.

Requirements

Key technical skills and experience required or preferred.

• Must-have: Strong C++ software engineering experience and object-oriented design skills.
• Experience developing on Linux and using development tools such as Git.
• Knowledge of digital logic design and hardware description languages, especially Verilog.
• Background in DFT and industry test practices.
• Strong analysis, design, problem-solving abilities, and good verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to produce specifications, estimates, and perform thorough testing.
• Nice-to-have: Prior experience with ATPG, Tessent, or other semiconductor EDA tools.

Education Requirements

MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (explicitly required by the posting).
