Software Embedded Engineer

Role Summary

Work on development and testing of peripheral and graphics drivers for embedded operating systems (QNX, Green Hills Integrity, Android Automotive) targeting NXP i.MX (ARM) application processors.

The role is on a development team responsible for driver porting, embedded software layers, demo/test applications and test automation for embedded platforms.

Experience Level

Entry-level - suitable for technical university students or recent graduates (early career).

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include:

• Learn and apply i.MX (ARM) architecture and relevant embedded OSs (QNX, Green Hills Integrity, Android Automotive).
• Develop and port peripheral and graphics device drivers.
• Create and maintain software layers, demo and test applications for embedded platforms.
• Contribute to test development and automation; define and run tests.
• Study and use technical documentation; produce clear technical documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve tasks of varying complexity.
• Keep current with embedded development tools, concepts, and best practices.

Requirements

Key skills and conditions for the role.

• Interest in or practical experience with embedded C/C++ development. (Must)
• Familiarity with Linux and distributed version control systems such as Git. (Advantage)
• Basic knowledge of ARM processors or NXP i.MX architecture. (Advantage)
• Willingness to use QNX Momentics Studio, Green Hills MULTI and embedded development kits.
• Ability to work in an evolving technical environment and collaborate in a team.
• Good written English for reading technical documentation; spoken English is a plus.
• Role may include security-related tasks and work in scope of security certifications; requires careful and reliable working practices.

Education Requirements

Ongoing technical university studies or recent graduation in Electrical Engineering, Informatics, Computer Science or a similar technical field is expected.
