Role Summary
Join Siemens EDA's software development team to design, implement, and maintain core components of electronic design automation (EDA) tools. The role focuses on high-performance C/C++ development on Linux and delivering GUI features using modern C++ frameworks.

Responsibilities
Key day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain C/C++ applications on Linux with emphasis on performance and scalability.
- Implement user interfaces using C++ GUI frameworks (wxWidgets, Qt).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver features.
- Conduct and participate in code reviews; mentor junior engineers and promote coding best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the software stack.
- Participate in continuous integration/deployment and use source control (SVN, Git).
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Strong C and C++ programming skills with object-oriented design, solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Proven experience developing and debugging software in Linux environments.
- Experience with C++ GUI frameworks (wxWidgets, Qt).
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl.
- Experience with source control systems (SVN or Git).
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with x86 architecture and low-level computer technology.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and large-scale software systems.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. Related technical degrees or relevant education/training are indicated as applicable.
