Role Summary
Join the Calibre OPC and RET Modeling R&D team to design, implement, and support electromagnetic and optical models and simulators used in lithography correction tools. The role focuses on translating physics and algorithms into production-quality C++ software and validating performance and accuracy.
Experience Level
Mid-level (3 6 years of experience preferred).
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities involve physics-based simulation, software implementation, and quantitative evaluation of model performance.
- Simulate and analyze electromagnetic and optical physics relevant to lithography modeling.
- Implement production-ready software components in C++ for modeling and simulation.
- Document new software in functional specifications and create clear technical materials.
- Investigate enhancement requests and bugs; propose and discuss solutions with the team.
- Perform detailed, quantitative analysis of software performance and output quality.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience required to perform the role.
- Practical understanding of electromagnetic and optical physics as applied to lithography modeling.
- Strong C++ skills and experience with object-oriented design and implementation.
- Data analysis experience using MATLAB or Python.
- Comfortable working in Linux and using common productivity tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to prepare clear technical documents and present results to peers and management.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in the semiconductor industry, especially with lithography and optical proximity correction (OPC) software.
Education Requirements
BSEE, MSEE/MS, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field (as stated in the posting).
