Role Summary

Join the Compilation team at Siemens EDA to design and implement the compiler for a programmable circuit that is central to the Veloce hardware-emulation platform. The role focuses on developing C++ algorithms for synthesis, timing analysis, partitioning, placement and routing.

You will work across the full project lifecycle in a multidisciplinary, international R&D environment to optimize compilation algorithms for hardware-accelerated emulation.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement complex C++ algorithms for the compilation flow, including synthesis, timing analysis, partitioning, placement and routing.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle from initial design through validation and testing.
• Develop and optimize graph-based algorithms and multithreaded applications to improve compilation performance.
• Collaborate with a multicultural, multidisciplinary engineering team to solve technical problems and integrate solutions.
• Analyze, troubleshoot and optimize algorithms for hardware-accelerated emulation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Veloce compilation platform.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming.
• Solid knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.
• Experience designing and developing complex algorithms, especially graph-based algorithms.
• Experience with multithreaded application development and concurrency.
• Interest in electronics and hardware–software integration.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) for international collaboration.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree (Licence) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics or a related technical field, or equivalent professional/practical experience; the posting explicitly states that equivalent professional experience is acceptable.
