Role Summary

Develop and maintain Xpedition flow products within Siemens EDA. Work on design, implementation, testing, and release of software that meets functionality, reliability, performance, and supportability requirements.

Collaborate with other developers, QA, and product/marketing teams to integrate features, resolve interdependencies, and support customer needs.

Experience Level

Mid-level — 3–6 years of professional software development experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this role include:

• Design, implement, and release features for Xpedition flow products.
• Write reliable, maintainable, and well-tested code meeting performance and usability goals.
• Participate in design and code reviews; follow established design and quality practices.
• Estimate tasks, participate in project planning, and track assigned work.
• Coordinate with other developers to manage task interdependencies and product integration.
• Work with QA and Marketing to validate features and address customer requirements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and professional attributes; nice-to-have items listed separately.

• Must-have: Experience with C++ standard library (STL) and development using Visual Studio.
• Must-have: Solid understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, data structures, and algorithm design/analysis.
• Must-have: Familiarity with software QA methodology and test coverage practices.
• Must-have: Fluent English (written and verbal) and good communication/presentation skills; able to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of electronic circuits and PCB/board design.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with configuration management tools.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of VHDL/Verilog.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science. Minimum graduation grade: Very Good.
