Job Title

Software Architect, AI Networking

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's Networking Software Architecture team in Israel to design and implement low-level software and infrastructure for RDMA transport protocols and AI networking stacks that enable high-performance GPU communication and RISC-V networking accelerators.

Deliver proofs-of-concept, evaluate protocol performance, and collaborate across hardware, firmware, compiler, and SDK teams to integrate scalable networking solutions.

Experience Level

Senior (title indicates architect/senior level). The posting specifies 0–5 years of experience in low-level software development, networking, or systems programming.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop C/C++ infrastructure, embedded software components, and runtime support for programmable RDMA protocols in the E/W AI networking stack.
  • Build proofs-of-concept, conduct hands-on experiments, and perform quantitative performance modelling.
  • Lead cross-functional integration with hardware, firmware, architecture, compiler, and SDK teams.
  • Create and maintain technical design documents, test results, and specifications for a distributed engineering organization.

Requirements

Must-haves:

  • Proficiency in C and/or C++ and solid system-level debugging skills.
  • Experience in low-level software development, networking, or systems programming.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across global teams.
  • Curiosity, strong problem-solving abilities, and eagerness to learn and improve technical expertise.

Nice-to-have:

  • Hands-on experience or academic projects with RDMA, InfiniBand, SmartNICs, or packet processing.
  • Familiarity with RISC-V execution environments, RTOS, board bring-up, or driver development.
  • Practical experience with Linux kernel development, network simulation tools, or performance profiling.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. The posting also references related coursework or background in computer architecture, operating systems, and networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, RDMA, InfiniBand) as relevant.
