Job Title

Software Architect — 3DIC P&R & AI-driven EDA Automation

Role Summary

Design and implement scalable EDA flows and AI-driven automation for advanced 3DIC, interposer, and RDL system-level designs. The role focuses on flow generation, debugging assistance, root-cause analysis, platform integration, and production-quality tooling.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting requests substantial industry experience in EDA software, design automation flows, and advanced packaging (no explicit years stated).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include building automation and integrating flows into a platform while improving usability and debug efficiency for complex package and system-level designs.

  • Architect and implement scalable EDA flows and integrations for 3DIC, interposer, and RDL systems.
  • Develop AI/LLM-based automation: flow generation, debugging assistants, and root-cause analysis tools.
  • Implement and extend tools using C++, Tcl, Python, and Java.
  • Design and automate workflows to improve usability, productivity, and debugging efficiency.
  • Integrate flows into a broader platform and validate production behavior with cross-functional teams.
  • Debug and address large-scale design challenges (high bump-count designs, multi-region routing).

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

  • Strong background in EDA data structures and algorithms.
  • Hands-on experience with Tcl, Python, and C++ automation in EDA tools.
  • Experience with DB-driven implementation flows (e.g., Innovus or similar platforms).
  • Understanding of 3DIC, interposer, packaging routing, and RDL design flows.
  • Knowledge of constraint-driven implementation: timing, signal integrity, DRC, and related constraints.
  • Experience addressing large-scale design problems such as high bump-count and multi-region routing.
  • Proven ability to deliver production-quality automation and multi-tool integration.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with 3DIC/3.5D/2.5D designs, signal integrity, EMIR, and thermal considerations.
  • Experience with LLM/AI systems, agent frameworks, and prompt-to-script automation.
  • Experience building end-to-end flow automation and multi-tool integrations.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Relevant industry experience developing EDA software, design automation flows, AI/LLM-enabled engineering tools, or advanced packaging design solutions is stated as part of the qualifications.
