Software Applications Engineering Manager

Role Summary

Lead a software applications engineering team responsible for design, integration and validation of Complex Device Drivers (CDDs) into customer AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW) for Battery Management System (BMS) features. Serve as primary technical contact for customers and ensure solutions meet functional-safety and process standards.

This is a people manager role that coordinates across systems, marketing, sales and engineering to deliver software, documentation and customer support.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, customer integration, verification, and team management.

  • Lead design, integration and validation of CDDs into customer AUTOSAR BSW (MCAL, OS, RTE).
  • Collaborate directly with customers to define requirements and ensure vehicle-level BMS needs are met.
  • Conduct CDD verification and system-level testing to support scalable architectures and customer use cases.
  • Lead technical issue analysis, root-cause debugging and performance optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO26262 functional safety requirements and ASPICE processes to meet customer ASIL goals.
  • Produce and maintain software requirements, design specifications, test reports and customer-facing documentation.
  • Manage, mentor and develop a small engineering team; handle escalations and project execution with stakeholders.

  • Preferred: Strong communication, stakeholder management, and time-management skills.
