Job Title

SoC Verification Lead

Role Summary

Lead functional verification of complex SoC designs within Arm's Systems Development team, ensuring IP blocks (CPU/GPU/DSP, memory controllers, interconnects) integrate correctly and meet required quality and schedule targets.

Define test plans and methodologies, coordinate across architecture, design, implementation, silicon validation and FPGA/board teams, and mentor verification leads.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include owning verification strategy, delivery and team coordination.

  • Lead and manage SoC verification activities and verification teams for complex SoCs.
  • Own test plans and define verification methodologies to achieve required quality and schedule targets.
  • Plan tasks, set schedules and sign-off criteria with project management, design and engineering management; report progress and quality checkpoints through to Tape-Out.
  • Collaborate with architecture, design, implementation, modelling, performance analysis, silicon validation, FPGA and board development teams.
  • Mentor and support subsystem/work-package verification leads.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • Proven experience leading verification teams for complex SoCs.
  • Experience coordinating verification plans, schedules and sign-off criteria with PM, design, DFT and implementation through Tape-Out.
  • Experience with embedded C/C++ based SoC verification environments.
  • Knowledge of assembly language (preferably ARM) and hardware verification languages such as SystemVerilog.
  • Scripting proficiency (Tcl, Perl, Python or similar).
  • Experience with GLS, DFT/DFD and power-aware verification techniques.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with Arm system architecture fundamentals.
  • Experience with embedded operating systems, device drivers and embedded hardware architectures.
  • Verification experience for PCIe, LPDDR, HBM, UCIe, Ethernet or deployment on emulation platforms.
