SoC Verification Engineer - UVM

Role Summary

Remote contractor role to own block-level SoC verification using SystemVerilog and UVM. The engineer will develop testbenches, sequences, agents, scoreboards and coverage from scratch, execute and debug constrained-random and directed tests, and coordinate with customer engineering teams.

Experience Level

Mid-level - targeted at candidates with approximately 6 to 10+ years of hands-on ASIC verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include end-to-end verification delivery for multiple complex design blocks and interaction with customer testbench infrastructures.

• Take technical ownership of verifying 4–5 complex design blocks per project and deliver verification sign-off.
• Design and implement verification testbenches, agents, sequences, scoreboards, and functional coverage using SystemVerilog and UVM.
• Execute constrained-random and directed tests; perform regression runs and closure on functional and code coverage.
• Perform waveform analysis, protocol debugging, root-cause analysis, and regression triage using industry simulators.
• Collaborate with customer engineering teams and internal leads to integrate block-level verification with customer-owned top-level testbenches.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and employment requirements; a short list of nice-to-have protocol experience follows.

• 6 to 10+ years of hands-on ASIC verification experience in complex digital designs (block and system level).
• Expert-level proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM with proven ability to develop testbenches, sequences, agents, scoreboards, and coverage from scratch.
• Strong debugging skills: waveform analysis, protocol debugging, root-cause analysis, and regression triage using simulators such as Synopsys VCS, Cadence Xcelium, or Mentor Questa.
• Ability to work autonomously in a customer-facing environment with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Employment requirement: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and willing to be employed on Danta Technologies' W2 payroll (C2C and 1099 not available).

Nice-to-have:

• Hands-on verification experience with high-speed protocols such as UCIe 2.0, PCIe (Gen4/5/6), or Ethernet (MAC/PCS/PMA).
