Job Title

SOC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Work on IP, subsystem, and SoC verification for Arm-based systems, developing and executing verification strategies and reusable SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches. Collaborate with architecture, design, performance, modeling, validation, FPGA, and software teams to verify functionality, performance, power and integration of complex SoCs.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Guidance: 2–12 years of relevant IP, subsystem, or SoC verification experience as stated in the posting.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning, implementing, executing verification activities and driving closure across teams.

  • Define and execute verification strategies for IP, subsystem, and SoC designs.
  • Architect, develop, and maintain reusable SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments and components.
  • Create verification plans, test methodologies, test cases, and coverage-closure strategies.
  • Verify functionality for CPU, PCIe, security, DDR, cache coherency and CHI-based interconnects, and SoC scenarios and performance.
  • Develop embedded tests in C/C++ and Arm Assembly for software-driven verification.
  • Perform power-aware verification using UPF and validate complex power architectures.
  • Debug RTL, testbenches, and silicon-related issues; work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Drive functional, code, toggle, assertion, and formal coverage closure.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • 2–12 years of experience in IP, subsystem, or SoC verification.
  • Strong Verilog/SystemVerilog knowledge and experience building SV/UVM environments.
  • Experience writing embedded tests in C/C++ and Arm Assembly.
  • Experience with power-aware verification (UPF) and validating power architectures.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across RTL, testbench and silicon issues.
  • Experience with coverage metrics and closure: functional, code, toggle, and assertion coverage.
  • Automation and scripting with Python, Perl, Tcl, or shell scripting.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with CHI, cache coherency, PCIe, DDR and interconnect verification at SoC scale.
  • Experience with formal methods, FPGA prototyping, performance verification, modeling or silicon bring-up.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
