Role Summary
The SOC Verification and Methodology Engineer will support ASIC/SoC verification and methodology development within the ASICS Engineering group. The role assists in defining, modeling, verifying, and documenting IP (block/SoC) deliverables and works with cross-functional teams to meet system requirements.
Experience Level
Entry-level. Suitable for early-career engineers or new graduates with roughly 6 months to 3 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include supporting verification flows, aiding architecture and design activities, and producing technical documentation.
- Assist in defining and modeling architectures, circuit specifications, and logic designs from system-level requirements.
- Support design verification for IP blocks and SoCs using established verification methodology and flows.
- Work with team members to develop implementation strategies that meet system and customer requirements.
- Support evaluation of flows from high-level design through synthesis, place-and-route, timing and power analysis, and verification.
- Use EDA/design tools (for example RTL-to-GDS flows, Virtuoso) to execute design and verification tasks.
- Write technical documentation for EDA, IP, and ASIC projects.
- Communicate status and results clearly in verbal and written form.

- Must-have: Practical ASIC/SoC knowledge and familiarity with verification methods and typical ASIC flows (RTL-to-GDS, synthesis, P&R, timing and power analysis).
- Must-have: Experience using EDA tools and writing clear technical documentation; effective verbal and written communication.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with scripting and programming languages to automate flows and tests.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with system architecture and design tools and C++ (not required).
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
